We are pleased to announce that Mitt Romney will be in Toronto on Thursday, March 25, to speak at a private dinner being held at the Granite Club (near Bayview and Lawrence). Friends, family and colleagues are also welcome to attend.
If you are interested in attending, please respond as soon as possible to let me know how many seats you will require. To hold seats, all tickets ($110 per person) must be paid in advance by cheque (payable to Republicans Abroad Canada and mailed to me at the address in my signature line below) on or before March 8 so that we will know how many tables to reserve. In 2008, Governor Romney was a leading candidate for the Republican presidential nomination and distinguished himself as an important voice in favour of strengthening America*s economy, military, and families.
Romney first gained national recognition for his role in turning around the 2002 Winter Olympics. With the 2002 Games mired in controversy and facing a financial crisis, Romney left behind a successful career as an entrepreneur to take over as President and CEO of the Salt Lake Organizing Committee. Join us as Gov. Romney makes his bid for the US Presidency.

Steve Forbes is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Forbes Media. He is also Editor-in-Chief of Forbes magazine. In both 1996 and 2000, Mr. Forbes campaigned vigorously for the Republican nomination for the Presidency. Key to his platform were a flat tax, medical savings accounts, a new Social Security system for working Americans, parental choice of schools for their children, term limits and a strong national defense.
Mr. Forbes continues to energetically promote this agenda. His new book, How Capitalism Will Save Us: Why Free People and Free Markets are the Best Answer in Today’s Economy, will be included in the cost of the ticket price and additional copies will be for sale. Mr. Forbes will discuss his book as well as the political landscape in the US and globally. He will also take questions and be available to sign copies.
