RA Japan, in several of their recent political drives, has seen a number of Americans living there who are very prepared to not only vote but get involved in political activity. They have had several voter registration drives at local events resulting in a number of voters receiving applications. Some of the most successful have been at the Tokyo American Club with guest speakers such as Ambassador Baker and Mrs. Baker. Another success has been their participation at the Embassy's 4th of July events which attracted several thousand Americans and resulted in large numbers of voter registration applications in the past. They have worked with local groups to allow them to register voters at American sporting events such as the ML Baseball at Tokyo Dome.

RA Korea has written and mailed about 1,000 letters to the potential voters asking for their contribution and registration. They operated desks for the registration at the July 4th events. Members of RA will attend the US Embassy Seminar for the voter registration class.
